Protocol for using TCApeel 15% and 25%
Medical product, exfoliation material for superficial and medium chemical peels based on trichloroacetic acid. The principle of action of TCAPEEL 15% and TCAPEEL 25% peeling is based on the pronounced keratolytic and stimulating effect of trichloroacetic acid. The depth of penetration of the peeling composition is determined not only by the concentration of the material, but also by the number of layers applied to the skin. When you stop applying new layers of peeling, penetration stops, because trichloroacetic acid is quickly neutralized as it moves through the layers of the skin, causing protein coagulation. Thanks to the controlled trauma of the epidermis and the irritating effect of peeling, renewal of the epidermis is ensured, stimulation of reparative and metabolic processes, which leads to an improvement in the physiological status of the dermis, helps to improve its texture, correction of facial and body defects: wrinkles, post-traumatic and post-operative scars, post-acne scars and other disorders skin relief. Acid does not have a systemic effect on the body. The procedure is carried out by a cosmetologist in a clinic, beauty salon, treatment room or other specialized institution.

Salicylicpeel 25% | Salicylic peeling
Detailed description
Salicylic peeling
Salicylic peeling has a high degree of penetration and has a keratolytic, anti-inflammatory and antiseptic effect. The popularity of salicylic peels in the second half of the twentieth century allowed us to accumulate a large amount of information about their effectiveness and consequences of use. Thanks to this, the early and long-term consequences of these peels are now well predictable. The drugs are used to treat oily and problematic skin, various forms of seborrhea, acne and post-acne.
* Is a medical product. Registration certificate No. FSR 201112109
APPLICATION PROTOCOL
Salicylic acid (2-hydroxybenzene acid) was first isolated from willow bark (Salix) back in the 19th century. This beta hydroxy acid has keratolytic, anti-inflammatory and antiseptic effects. It is characterized by fairly high lipophilicity and causes exfoliation of the epidermis at the mouth of the hair follicle, thereby preventing the formation of comedones. Salicylic acid has a moderate irritating effect and does not penetrate into the deeper layers of the skin, which, in turn, reduces the possibility of side effects during the post-peeling period.
A medical product, the SALICYLICPEEL exfoliation material from the MEDICCONTROLPEEL line is presented in the form of a 15% or 25% solution of salicylic acid in isopropyl alcohol, which has excellent keratolytic and degreasing properties. Salicylic peels SALICYLICPEEL 15% and SALICYLICPEEL 25% belong to the group of superficial peels and are recommended for the treatment of oily and problematic skin, various forms of seborrhea, acne and post-acne. The procedure is carried out by a cosmetologist in a clinic, beauty salon, treatment room or other specialized institution.

PROTOCOL FOR SALICYL PEELING
Stage I. Pre-peeling preparation
For problem skin and acne, the patient should apply Anti Acne Complex gel for problem and oily skin to previously cleansed skin with Cleanser mousse daily for 14–21 days. If peeling is planned for other indications, it is necessary to use Prepeel Active cream. In the morning, apply Mediscreen SPF 85 sunscreen.
Stage II. Chemical peeling
1 step. Cleansing. Apply Cleanser mousse to the skin, spread with light massage movements and leave for 15-20 seconds. Rinse with water. This drug provides not only high-quality cleansing of the skin, but also equalizes the pH value over the entire surface of the skin, which subsequently makes the penetration of the peeling composition more uniform.
Step 2. Degrease the skin with Prepeel Lotion.
Step 3 . Apply Salicylicpeel with cotton pads with quick movements (the cotton pad is moistened directly from the bottle) onto the entire facial skin in the following sequence: forehead, temples, chin, cheeks, nose, eyelids. During application of the drug, the patient feels a burning sensation. After 2-3 minutes, the liquid fraction evaporates and a white coating formed by salicylic acid crystals appears on the skin. By the homogeneity of the plaque, one can judge the uniformity of application of the peeling composition to all treated areas. Do not rinse off. Then you can apply the next layer. The number of layers is determined by the individual characteristics of the patient’s skin, indications, as well as the desired depth of penetration. 2-4 minutes after applying the last layer, rinse off the composition with plenty of running water.
Step 4 Immediately after peeling, apply Vegelip or Vegefarma cream.
Stage III. Post-peeling care
Salicylic peeling is a chemical procedure. 2 days after the procedure, desquamation begins, which lasts about 5–7 days. At this time, it is necessary to moisturize and protect the skin from ultraviolet radiation. During the day, the patient should use moisturizing cream Vegelip (for problem skin) or Vegefarma (for aging skin). In the morning, apply Mediscreen SPF 85 sunscreen. From 5-15 days (depending on the depth of the peeling and the course of the early post-peeling period), apply Anti Acne Complex gel daily (for problem skin) or Semtempo cream (Post-peeling cream) (for aging skin) .
EXPECTED REACTIONS AFTER PEELING
Desquamation begins 2 days after the procedure. Peeling continues for 5–7 days.
PEELING PROGRAMS
The basic course of Salicylicpeel includes 5-7 procedures, which are carried out with an interval of 7-14 days for the skin of the face, neck, décolleté, and 3-5 procedures with an interval of 4 weeks for the skin of the hands.
- For seborrhea and acne, peelings are performed with a 15–25% solution at intervals of 7–14 days, the course includes up to 8 procedures.
- For hyperkeratosis, a course is recommended that includes up to 5–7 procedures with an interval of 7–10 days. The first two procedures can be performed at a shorter interval.
- For hyperpigmentation, peelings are carried out with a 25% solution at intervals of 10–14 days, the course includes up to 8 procedures.
PRACTICAL TIPS
Since salicylic peeling has an alcohol base that evaporates quickly, when carrying out peeling it is better not to pour the active solution into a separate container, but to wet the cotton pad directly from the bottle. It is necessary to warn the patient about the inadmissibility of forcible removal of crusts or film that have appeared. If you want to achieve a deeper effect, Salicylicpeel peeling can be combined with other types of peels, such as retinoic peels.

Rules of application
Medic Control Peel cleansers are recommended for use in salons. Only an experienced cosmetologist will be able to assess the condition of the skin and select the necessary composition.
PERFEITOPEEL weekend peeling can be used at home.
Preparation consists of applying pre-peeling preparations that adapt the skin to the chemical effects of acid. It can be:
- Cleanser Mousse cleanser - for problem skin;
- Prepeel Light cream - for excessive pigmentation;
- Prepeel Active cream - for aging skin;
The procedure itself consists of applying the composition using cotton pads or a brush. The sequence is as follows: forehead, chin, cheeks, area around the mouth, wings of the nose and eyelids.
Each solution is kept for a strictly defined time (indicated in the instructions). As soon as the first signs of erythema begin, Neutralizator from MedicControlPeel is applied. Then wash it off with plenty of water and wipe your face dry.
The final step is to apply Vegefarma moisturizing cream (for normal to dry skin) or Thriphalan Balm (for oily dermis).
During the rehabilitation period, you should protect your face from direct sunlight - you can use Mediscreen with SPF 85. It is applied every time you go outside.
Peeling protocol
Stage I. Pre-peeling preparation
For 14–21 days, the patient should apply Prepeel Light, Prepeel Medium or Prepeel Active cream to the skin previously cleansed with Cleanser Mousse at night. In the morning, apply MediScreen sunscreen.
Stage II. Chemical peeling
1 step. Cleansing. Apply Cleanser Mousse to the skin of the face, distribute with light massage movements and leave for 15-20 seconds. Rinse with water. Dry the skin.
Step 2. Degrease the skin with Prepeel Lotion.
Step 3. Apply TCAPEEL peeling material using a gauze napkin or a cotton swab to the skin of the face in the direction from the periphery to the center in the following sequence: forehead, temples, cheeks, nose, chin, eyelids. There is a burning sensation and pain. A “frost effect” appears on the surface of the skin. By its intensity, one can judge the depth of penetration, and by its uniformity, one can judge the uniformity of application of the material to all treated areas. If applied unevenly to individual areas, they can be re-treated with the material. The number of layers applied depends on the concentration of the material used (15% or 25%), as well as on the desired penetration depth. Wait 2-3 minutes between repeated applications. There is no need to achieve a pronounced “frost effect” on the skin of the neck, décolleté and hands. After stopping the application of the peeling material, the subjective pain sensations stop.
Step 4 After peeling, apply Vegefarma MCP or Thriphalan MCP cream.
Stage III. Post-peeling care
The course of the post-peeling period depends on the depth of the peeling performed. If 1-2 layers of TCAPEEL 15% are characterized by the absence of crusts and the development of the peeling process, which lasts 4-5 days, then after peeling TCAPEEL 25% swelling and severe erythema increase within 24-48 hours after the procedure. Films and crusts form. During this period, the patient should not wet the skin of the face. Films and crusts peel off spontaneously within 7-10 days. It is necessary to warn the patient about the inadmissibility of their forced removal. When using both TCAPEEL 15% and TCAPEEL 25%, from the first day after the peeling procedure until the exfoliation process is completely completed, it is necessary to constantly moisturize the skin with Vegefarma or Thriphalan Balm cream and protect it from ultraviolet radiation in the morning by applying MediScreen sunscreen.
Contraindications
MedicControlPeel products are contraindicated if:
- there is an allergy to the components;
- the woman is pregnant or is breastfeeding;
- there are inflammations and wounds;
- eye diseases: cataracts and glaucoma;
- any skin diseases are present;
- there is a malignant tumor;
- pathology of the liver or kidneys has been identified.
The components of chemical peels are able to penetrate into the blood. Therefore, it is worth postponing the procedure if:
- elevated temperature;
- treatment with drugs containing retinoids;
- herpetic rashes.
Side effects
The products are considered safe and, when used correctly, do not cause any unpleasant consequences.
After the session, the patient feels a slight burning sensation and erythema may be observed. Sometimes peeling appears, which goes away within a week.
If the rules of the procedure are violated, more serious side effects may develop:
- severe swelling and redness of the skin;
- prolonged severe peeling;
- the appearance of small cysts;
- soreness;
- inflammatory process;
- herpetic rashes.
If at least one of the above phenomena occurs, you should contact a dermatocosmetologist.
Buyanov Sergey Yurievich (Expert Doctor):
It is necessary to pay attention to the appearance of erythema - persistent redness of the skin. This is due to the “transillumination” of blood vessels. When redness after procedures appears several times in a row, a person risks remaining “red-cheeked” forever.
Peeling programs
TCAPEEL 15%: the basic course is 3-5 procedures, which are performed at intervals of 2-4 weeks. TCAPEEL 25%: 1 procedure every 4-6 months.
Expected reactions after peeling
During the procedure, protein coagulation occurs, which manifests itself as a “frost effect.” By its intensity, one can judge the depth of penetration, and by its uniformity, one can judge the uniformity of application of the material to all treated areas. After some time, from several minutes to a day (depending on the concentration of peeling and the number of layers), the “frost effect” is replaced by erythema and swelling. If 1-2 layers of TCAPEEL 15% are characterized by the absence of crusts and the development of the peeling process, which lasts 4-5 days, then after peeling TCAPEEL 25% swelling and severe erythema increase within 24-48 hours after the procedure. The next day after the TCAPEEL 25% procedure, quite pronounced swelling and erythema are noted, crusts and films are formed. The leather has a “tanned” appearance. By the second day, the swelling decreases, the film begins to strongly tighten the skin. Intense peeling begins from 2–3 days and ends by 7–10 days. The skin on the hands peels off a little longer. After the coagulation film is rejected, the skin becomes pink. A similar skin color occurs with sunburn. After a few more days, the skin is completely restored.
Complications
Local complications when using TCA in concentrations less than 30% are rare and can be easily corrected.
The most common complication is post-peel hyperpigmentation and most often occurs in patients with dark skin (Fitzpatrick types III–VI). Millia, or small, superficial, white epidermal cysts, are very common in the first 3 to 5 weeks after the procedure. They go away on their own or a light superficial microcrystalline peeling is used to remove them. Another complication is an exacerbation of herpes. Therefore, if a patient has a history of recurrent herpes, it is advisable to take a preventive course of specific antiviral drugs a week before the procedure.
Advantages and disadvantages

Buyanov Sergey Yurievich (Expert Doctor):
The disadvantages also include the danger of self-use at home. Before using chemical peeling, it is important to consult a specialist, or undergo the first procedure in a beauty salon.
Practical advice
TCAPEEL is a painful procedure, so during its implementation, a fan or fan can be used to create intense air flows that alleviate the patient's subjective sensations.
TCAPEEL 25% does not increase the area of telangiectasia. At the same time, due to the pronounced irritant effect of trichloroacetic acid, the clarity of the vascular pattern increases. This phenomenon is reversible and disappears within 1-2 months after the procedure. In this case, after completing the exfoliation process, it is advisable to prescribe Retioderm cream from the MedicControlPeel line.
Reviews from cosmetologists
