What is diamond peeling
Diamond facial peeling belongs to the microdebridement group, because it literally removes all dead cells and dirt from the top layer of the skin, knocking out plugs and blockages from the pores.
This type of peeling is performed with a special medical device that has many different attachments, with varying degrees of intensity of abrasive properties, as well as different sizes and purposes. This is done so that during peeling, a professional cosmetologist can select the strength of microdebridement individually for each skin type, as well as clean all areas of the face where it is needed. Each attachment is coated with diamond dust abrasives of varying degrees of grit. Diamond dust is very small diamond crystals processed by a laser.
The diamond peeling device has an exhaust system, thanks to which all the dust generated during skin polishing is drawn into the device. The vacuum, which is formed from the force of extraction from the surface of the skin, has a beneficial effect on it, reducing the risk of swelling after the procedure, stimulating blood circulation in the skin, which contributes to its renewal.

Efficiency
Delicate grinding stimulates regenerative processes, as a result of which the synthesis of collagen and elastic fibers is activated, which ensure firmness and elasticity of the skin.
Removing the surface layer of skin promotes skin renewal, tightens the facial contour and refreshes. The effect is noticeable after the first session and lasts for a long time.
During the procedure, a very useful vacuum massage is performed - it triggers microcirculation and enhances the lifting effect.
How does the diamond peeling procedure work?
Each procedure of this peel lasts approximately forty minutes. The woman does not experience any unpleasant or painful sensations, so additional pain relief is not required for the procedure. After the procedure, there is no significant redness or irritation of the skin, so the woman can easily lead her normal life without taking a break from work. This peeling can be used on all areas of the body - face, neck, skin areas around the eyes and lips, behind the ears, in the décolleté area, on the back, and other areas of the body.
The diamond peeling procedure has the following stages:
- Skin preparation : cleansing the skin, steaming and warming the skin to better exfoliate dead cells.
- Hardware grinding with specially selected attachments for approximately 40 minutes.
- Moisturizing or nourishing mask for areas of skin that have undergone diamond peeling.
The advantages of diamond facial peeling include the fact that it does not require the use of special peeling solutions - it is a completely hardware microdebrassment, and therefore it is a hypoallergenic type of peeling. Since this procedure is performed only in beauty parlors and salons with professional cosmetologists, we can talk about the sterility of the procedure, hygiene, and individual peeling strength, selected for each person separately.

Results of diamond microdebrasing
This peeling not only removes dead skin cells from its surface, but also stimulates the production of collagen by the skin, which is the key to increasing its firmness, elasticity, and tone. The relief and tone of the skin are evened out, peeling can remove or smooth out scars, scars, post-acne, and shallow wrinkles from the surface of the skin.
The color quality of the skin improves, it acquires an even tone, becomes young and radiant. Thanks to this peeling, age spots, freckles, and areas of hyperpigmentation will be eliminated from the facial skin. Enlarged pores on the face become less noticeable. The skin acquires tone, the elasticity of the skin increases, it literally looks younger.

Is the procedure carried out at home?
Making diamond grinding at home is not difficult.
To do this, you need to buy a portable device and study the sequence of actions. The price of such non-professional equipment does not exceed 10,000 rubles. However, the result most often differs significantly from professional cleaning. An experienced cosmetologist will perform the procedure efficiently and safely, and will give the necessary recommendations for skin care.
That is why it is better to seek help from a specialist; besides, beauty salons often hold promotions and distribute discount coupons.

Microdermabrasion - reviews

Advantages:
improvement of skin tone, reduction of pores
Flaws:
expensive
I had microdermabrasion last fall. Of course the effect is not bad. But it hurt a little. The essence of the procedure is that a special device is used to polish the face, a kind of peeling. To really see results, you need to do several procedures. This is quite a lot of money. I only had two procedures, I noticed that my pores became smaller and my complexion improved. I want to do a few more sandings to see the final result.

Advantages:
When normal care is useless. Aligns, smoothes, restores tone and complexion, has a beneficial effect on the appearance of the face.
Flaws:
Not suitable for extremely sensitive skin.
Last September, I decided for the first time to try a major procedure to smooth out the skin texture, since conventional skin care products could not cope with the problems that had arisen. The cost of the procedure varies from thousand to three depending on the salon. My skin is extremely problematic, prone to oiliness, comedones, rosacea, so I went in with fear and caution. A little about the procedure itself: micro-resurfacing of the skin using a vacuum suction device. The nozzles of this device are coated with diamond dust. In other words, the keratinized layer of cells is removed, while all the blackheads and impurities that did not have time to be removed by the nozzle are additionally sucked out of the pores as if through a vacuum cleaner) Grinding is used both on the face and throughout the body, where it is required. Since the diamond coating on the nozzle consists of extremely small particles, the procedure itself is atraumatic and suitable for sensitive skin. But nevertheless, it is better to consult a cosmetologist. People often talk about painful sensations during the procedure, but I personally haven’t noticed any. The sensations, let’s say, on the contrary, are quite pleasant, as if a new breath is awakening). Afterwards, of course, a slight redness occurs, which quickly disappears after a couple of hours. After the procedure, the skin is very smooth, but it does not really get rid of blackheads. In any case, a course of at least five procedures is required, and the effect lasts for a week)

Flaws:
expensive and ineffective
A cosmetologist advised me to do microdermabrasion. I have post-acne problems and, according to her, taking a course of 10-15 procedures was simply necessary. Well, I agreed, she knows better, I thought. The general impression from the first procedure: it was a little painful, in some places it seemed like the face was scratched, but in appearance there was only redness. I went through 20 procedures, and the result was nothing. I threw away a lot of money, wasted a lot of time, but remained in the same place where I started - the acne remains as it was. The cosmetologist said that I needed 10 more pieces, but no, this is not a cheap waste of time. This may be an excellent procedure for easily maintaining facial skin tone, but nothing more. As for me, cryomassage is better. I did the procedures every week for 20 weeks, I kept hoping for a miracle, but I don’t hope anymore. In short, I do not recommend this scam.

Painless, evens out skin tone, visually refreshes the face, soft smooth skin
A little expensive, can cause inflammation, dries out, does not tighten pores
My child has finally started going to kindergarten regularly, I haven’t gone to work yet, and as a result, I have free time and extra thoughts. Here is one of them: “I’m 32 years old, old age is just around the corner, it’s time to somehow start taking care of my face, do regular skincare procedures, go to a cosmetologist, in the end.” Having studied the question, I found out that salon peeling is a very useful procedure for the skin. Photos of faces after chemical peeling somehow scared me, so I decided on microdermabrasion for myself.
A little about my skin: normal, slightly oily on the nose with blackheads. For daily care - morning and evening, foam cleanser + tonic. Last year I started using a scrub once every 1.5 weeks (by the way, this fact had no effect on the number of blackheads). Basically, that's it. It is quite rare to use cream only before bedtime. Usually it happens like this: “I need to start using the cream regularly,” I think. I buy a cream that is not the cheapest, smear it on for 2-3 weeks, then I start to get lazy about doing it every day (especially since I don’t see any effect from the cream) and gradually quit. It's the same story with masks.
In general, I came, the verdict was this: there are a lot of blackheads on the nose, so first of all it is necessary to do manual facial cleansing, and then after a couple of days microdermabrasion. I read that up to 5-6 procedures are necessary, but the cosmetologist said that my skin is soft and there is no strong keratinization, one is enough for me. By the way, she was very surprised that I was 32 and said that I was well preserved for my age (kind of a compliment). In general, on the same day they cleaned me, except for my nose, there were no clogged pores anywhere else. But after cleansing, the skin became very dry and flaky, especially on the nose. But this seems to be within normal limits.
After 4 days I came for microdermabrasion. First, the skin was cleaned, then the procedure itself began: a special nozzle coated with abrasive particles was passed over the face. The feeling is normal, I even liked it. All this lasted 7-10 minutes. The procedure itself cost 1,000 rubles, after which it was still possible to make a mask for 350 rubles. I didn’t intend to, but the cosmetologist said that after cleansing the skin became very dry, plus after peeling it also needed nutrition, blah blah blah, so they made me a nourishing aldehyde mask. When I stood up and looked at my face, on my nose I saw pieces of green dead skin, really green, with normal pink visible underneath. The cosmetologist said that they did not come off during peeling, but they would come off when washing. The rest of the face was visually unchanged, just reddened. Recommendations: buy a rich nourishing cream, because after peeling the skin needs nutrition.
In the evening, I washed my face as usual and applied the moisturizing cream that was in stock (I didn’t have time to buy a nourishing oily one), my skin stung noticeably when applying the cream. The reflection in the mirror in the morning made me very, very happy: the redness had subsided, the tone was perfect, the relief was perfect, plus the skin felt amazingly silky to the touch. My green pieces on my nose fell off. For those. who is waiting for a miracle - expression lines have not disappeared, pores have not narrowed. I walked around happy all day, and in the evening I washed my face and applied cream. In the morning I wake up, everything is no longer so rosy, the skin became irritated, dry, began to peel, and by the evening I was covered in pimples, about 10 of them popped up. I was shocked, especially since this all happened on March 7, on the eve of my favorite holiday. The pimples were strange, without pronounced inflammation, without a head with pus, and most of them were painless. My acne My acneThe process of pimple formation lasted 4 days, i.e. old pimples did not go away, but new ones appeared. I heavily coated myself with Zenerite and didn’t use any creams at all, but somehow it didn’t get any better. On the contrary, Zenerit dried out my already irritated skin even more. After 3 days of struggle, I quit Zinerit and changed the strategy: masks with white clay, chamomile and tea tree oil and active moisturizing with my cream morning and evening. And the acne began to disappear literally before our eyes, they simply turned pale and disappeared. I don't know what it was and why it happened. Some kind of allergic reaction? Insufficient hygiene of skin damaged by peeling? Irregularities during the procedure? I don’t know, but I went through several very unpleasant days, and, thank God, I escaped with a slight fright. After acne disappears
After a little over a week, my skin returned to normal, but became very sensitive and dry. If earlier the feeling of tightness after washing was easily removed with a tonic, now this was not enough, the skin still remained tight, and it was necessary to apply cream. After two weeks it went away. Overall result: the skin is the same as it was before the procedure (ordinary skin, not particularly smooth, not particularly tender).
Despite my bad history with acne, I still hope that microdermabrasion has benefited my skin by renewing it (the green nose episode especially gives me this hope). Will I do it again? Perhaps, but this time with the most thorough aftercare and without a mask.

I chose the microdermabrasion course as a gift for my 8th birthday.
Well, partly I didn’t believe in it, since my skin is quite problematic, after some incredible subcutaneous acne as a teenager, I was left with deep scars, and it also contributed to the fact that a year ago I had chickenpox and there were more of them.
My skin care at home is always steaming and cleansing, a hard scrub (since I was 12 years old), which for the last year I have been alternating with acid peeling, and masks, which now mostly contain collagen. And in principle, I can say that the edges of the scars have begun to smooth out.
But you always want a quick and more noticeable result, and some deep peelings, incl. I'm afraid of laser resurfacing. Accordingly, that's why I chose a more gentle procedure - microdermabrasion.
Here is the machine on which it was done for me.
The promises, of course, were that the scars would become smoother and the skin more even. But it doesn't work for me at all. My skin is oily and thick, accustomed to a good scrub and cleansing, so I practically did not see the effect of microdermabrasion, the exfoliation was not complete, the pores were not cleaned, the scars were not smoothed out. Well, the only thing is that the complexion improved due to the blood flow to the skin during exposure to the diamond nozzle.
It doesn’t feel painful, it just feels like an iron file is being mechanically driven across the face. The redness on the face goes away after about 5 hours, for me personally.
I will say that the procedure is a little expensive for such a not so good result.
Probably microdermabrasion will help those who treated their skin sparingly and did not use aggressive exfoliating procedures, then the peeling effect will be on the face. But you shouldn’t expect any miracles; most likely you won’t.

Evens out skin tone
Doesn't get rid of scars, doesn't narrow pores
Since I was 13 years old I have been suffering from acne, after which there were scars, medium scars, i.e. not superficial and not deep. To combat them, I decided to take a course of diamond peeling (microdermabrasion). I did 10 procedures of midline microdermabrasion (without blood dew), I did it once a week. In total, I spent 15,000 rubles. The procedure is tough, that is, it was painful, but tolerable. After the procedure I was as red as cancer, the redness lasted less than a day, i.e. for example, the procedure was done at 5 pm, in the morning I was already in normal condition. After about 3-4 days, an imperceptible crust appeared on the face, which had to be lubricated with a rich cream; I used depanthenol. After about 2 days, the crust began to peel and peel off. That is, within a week the skin was restored. What can I say about this procedure: the skin tone will definitely even out, i.e. will acquire a healthy color; some scars will become less noticeable due to smoothing of their edges, the pores are not clearly narrowed and not a single scar will disappear from the face. In principle, I think this procedure will not help even with superficial scars. Good luck to all! Look for another remedy for scars!
PS During your period, don’t even think about doing this procedure, it will be terribly ugly on your face for a week, you will be ashamed to appear on the street (personal experience, because, unfortunately, my cosmetologist did not warn me about this).

I've always had skin problems. As they say, not one thing is the other. During puberty I got rid of acne, but traces of it remained. Now the first wrinkles have begun to appear. And in general the skin looks terrible. All uneven, as if there were some kind of lumps, gray in one word - horror. I decided to go for the procedure after rave reviews. I went through several sessions and my skin condition worsened. I was shocked, not only was the money spent but there was no result coupled with new problems. Later it turned out that after microdermabrasion the skin is exposed. The top layer is still removed, and as a result, new inflammations and even acne may appear. Simply put, all the problems that were hidden under layers of keratinized cells come to light. It’s good that I completed the course and didn’t quit. Now the skin looks much better. During the procedures, I felt a slight tingling sensation, nothing more.

Advantages:

Flaws:

Details:
From the age of twenty (which is surprising, because teenage acne in girls usually ends) I started having problems with my skin, and I went to beauty salons as if it were my home. Unfortunately, facial cleansing did not solve the problem. Not only was it very painful (they squeezed it out with a metal stick), but also the inflammatory process began with a vengeance. I came home with a bright red face, and for the next days I walked around with scabs. And the pimples appeared more and more often. As a result, I decided not to go anymore and solve the problem on my own. True, the problem was solved by covering up acne and scars from them with foundation.
Recently, a friend, a physician by training, advised me to go to her sister’s salon for a new procedure - they say that the skin will be sanded and the scars will disappear. In the spring I got ready. The cosmetologist examined my skin and agreed to perform the procedure. In case of inflammation, microdermabrasion is prohibited. To be honest, I was in pain, but not unbearably so. You can tolerate it. After the session, small, shallow scars disappeared, and the skin became lighter. She recommended the next session only in the fall, because it is better not to carry out the procedure in the summer, since the sun is contraindicated or something. Pimples pop up much less. But deep scars still remain. I'm gathering my courage to go to a new session. I'm afraid of pain, apparently my sensitivity threshold is very high.
