Oleg Leonidovich Nikitin has been working as a leading aesthetic surgeon at the Institute of Plastic Surgery and Cosmetology since 2015. He is a Candidate of Medical Sciences, a laureate of the prestigious Golden Lancet award, and a member of the Society of Aesthetic and Reconstructive Plastic Surgeons of the Russian Federation. His experience in plastic surgery exceeds 19 years.
After graduating from the medical faculty of the Smolensk State Medical Academy in 1996 and an internship in surgery in 1997, he studied at a clinical residency in surgery at the Russian Scientific Center for Surgery. After graduating from graduate school in 2008, he defended his dissertation for the scientific degree of Candidate of Medical Sciences and successfully defended it.
He worked as a surgeon at the plastic surgery department of the Bryansk city cosmetology hospital, the plastic surgery inpatient department of the city hospital No. 4 in Bryansk, and the Lancet Center for Endoscopic and Plastic Surgery in Moscow. Under the guidance of Academician Milanov, he studied the problem of mammoplasty for breast enlargement in patients with underdevelopment of the mammary glands.
In 2011, he received a certificate as a plastic surgeon. He is fluent in the technique of surgical body correction; gynecomastia, abdomen, legs, shoulders, buttocks, body contouring, liposuction. Masterfully performs surgical interventions to replace implants, correct the nipple-areolar complex, breast augmentation and reduction, breast lift and implant removal.
He is the author and co-author of scientific papers devoted to the following issues:
- Aesthetic surgery of the mammary glands;
- Breast lipolifting;
- The use of implants to treat complex cases of breast asymmetry;
- 3d modeling when performing plastic surgery on the mammary gland;
- Management tactics for patients who have developed complications of augmentation mammoplasty.
Oleg Leonidovich constantly takes part in international conferences, congresses and forums dedicated to current issues in plastic surgery, and makes presentations at them. He constantly improves his qualifications through internships in leading Russian, Spanish, German, and French reconstructive centers. He gives a course of lectures at the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Cosmetology and Cellular Technologies of the Faculty of Advanced Medical Studies of the Russian State Medical University.

Education.

Practical activities.
From 1997 to 1999 he worked as a plastic surgeon at the City Cosmetology Center of Bryansk in the department of plastic surgery.
From 2000 to 2006 he worked in a cosmetology center located on the basis of the City Hospital in Bryansk, after which until 2008 he was a plastic surgeon at the Russian Scientific Center of Surgery of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences.
Currently he operates at the Lancet Clinic.
Scientific activity.
In 2008, he defended his dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Medical Sciences. Topic: “Surgical correction of micromastia.” Scientific supervisor: Doctor of Medical Sciences prof. Academician of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences Milanov N.O. Awarded the academic degree of Candidate of Medical Sciences. The scientific work is devoted to the features of augmentation mammoplasty in patients with micromastia, the principles of optimal choice of implant and surgical technique. An algorithm for planning augmentation mammoplasty in patients with micromastia has been developed.
Author and co-author of 18 scientific papers published in specialized medical journals.
Teacher of the course “Plastic Surgery” of the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Aesthetic Medicine and Cell Technologies of the State Educational Institution of Higher Professional Education of the Russian State Medical University of Roszdrav.
