Today in my review we will talk about a budget, but very good quality, Austrian filler called “Princess Volume”. The density of this filler is the highest in the manufacturer’s entire line, 23 mg/ml. I bought it from an online store, and at the lowest price, and it doesn’t look like they sold me a fake (the manufacturer constantly warns about this). Initially, I had no intention of going to a cosmetologist; I decided to inject myself in front of the mirror. In fact, these are ordinary injections in the face, only the prices for cosmetologist’s services are very inflated. This photo called “BEFORE”, as you can see, is nothing good. This is my first experience using filler; I’ve never injected anything before. My age is well over 30. Who else but we ourselves know and feel all our problem areas on our faces. Moreover, the needle of this filler is very thin, puncturing the skin occurs without much effort, much easier than with a regular syringe (I trained on myself, injecting meso-cocktails). There is not much pain when the gel is introduced; nevertheless, its texture is quite dense, but it is quite tolerable, even without anesthesia, which I did not use. There are fillers that contain lidocaine, but I had none. The needle quickly becomes dull and if there are a lot of punctures, then a second needle is included in the kit. The nasolabial folds did not completely disappear, apparently the creases were already very large, but they smoothed out significantly and the face became noticeably fresher. I’ll describe it right away, the face in both photographs is without makeup and without filters. The “After” photo was taken 2 weeks later. Initially I thought that I had enough, so I injected two small balls in the remainder of the syringe into my lower lip, which I later regretted. Upon closer examination, at first it looked a little like malaria on the lips, but not critical. The filler itself, when you touch your face with your hands, can be felt on the lips and in the nasolabial folds. Yes, a foreign body is felt, but again there is nothing scary about it. I would also like to clarify. The rapidly forming swelling of the tissues can mislead you, it seems that enough is enough, the nasolabial folds are sufficiently filled. There is another advantage of injecting yourself: the opened filler can be stored in the refrigerator for a week. You can use half a syringe to start, and continue after a week. The most important thing here is to distribute it evenly under the skin in problem areas; if this is a problem, do more punctures. There is no need to be afraid of traces from the punctures themselves; they disappear on the same day. I read a lot of reviews on the Internet before deciding to inject filler, and even for myself. And I want to dispel some rumors. Bad reviews about this procedure, where girls write about dizziness and night pain, are most likely based on some kind of individual intolerance of the body, and most likely fear of something new. I had nothing like this. But I still didn’t ignore the restrictions, such as avoiding saunas and alcohol for the first couple of weeks, just in case. For a couple of weeks, this concerns alcohol. I am writing a review about the Princess volume filler as a doctor and a patient. I have been using this drug for more than 5 years. I will not go into details of the composition, cross-linking of the HA molecule, density, etc. because from my own experience I realized that the main importance is played by such qualities as the naturalness of the result and safety. Yes, Princess is somewhat inferior in popularity to such drugs as Restylane, Juvederm and Surgiderm, which are on everyone’s lips, but I repeat: only in popularity. I experienced all the nuances of the contouring procedure with the princess drug three times, and three times before that I was injected with another drug (also pure hyaluronic acid). I tried on myself different types of pain relief and administration methods. Lightly freezing the skin with an anesthetic roll was quite enough to not feel the puncture of the skin. If they injected me with a needle, there were more bruises, but with a cannula there were none at all. The injection of the gel itself is a little painful, but compared to the previous drug, the discomfort was significantly less. If before I felt a burning sensation during insertion, then with the princess there was a feeling of fullness. After the procedure, the injected gel was felt as a tightening of the tissues for two days, after which any unusual sensations disappeared. Having experienced the difference for myself, I decided to finally switch to princesses. As a doctor, I absolutely trust this drug. This filler is really pleasant and easy to work with, due to a number of its advantages: 1. The filler is really flexible, fits smoothly on the lips, and does not leave lumps. Lately, I have not allowed patients to stretch their lips, and after the bruises (if any) go away, the drug goes on absolutely smoothly. 2. It is not felt in the lips, and especially in other areas of administration. 3. Suitable for working in such delicate areas as the nasolacrimal grooves and the lower edge of the orbit (in areas with very thin skin). 4. The drug does not shine through the skin with a bluish color, like many other fillers (few people notice this, but in bright light many well-known drugs actually shine through the skin). 5. Upon repeated administration, an “accumulation” effect occurs, as can be seen in the attached photo. Like any intradermal filler, due to the reaction of aseptic inflammation, internal tissue fibrosis occurs, but the process is not clearly expressed and upon repeated administration it is not felt in any way except that the volume of the injected drug is the same, and the effect is more pronounced. 6. Since I am a maxillofacial surgeon, I often use Princesses for correction in the postoperative period (for example, for lip asymmetry in the case of a congenital cleft of the upper lip, with severe scarring). Despite its softness and plasticity, the drug perfectly stretches scars and evens out contours, while simultaneously having a positive effect on scar formation. And when performing repeated operations after the introduction of this filler, we see unchanged tissues, without signs of edema or fragments of a separate gel. The photo below shows the problem area “before” and immediately “after” the injections. The redness disappeared on the same day. The swelling persists for a couple of days. I have already carried out a number of procedures, but, remembering how long I prepared, read, went through, weighed and chose cosmetologists, I think that it is simply necessary to systematize my experience, diversify the photos and supplement with my own feelings, so that it will help you, beauties.
So, I’ll start with the main problem that tormented me - circles under the eyes.
Circles is an understatement! Dips, furrows, blue.
Moreover, if six months ago I could live with them and biorevitalization (I will also leave a review about it) helped me perfectly in eliminating them, now, after a year of intensive work and chronic lack of sleep, nothing could be done with them. (see. photo)
Then I decided to find a doctor who could correctly correct the nasolacrimal groove with filler.
I pay special attention to choosing a doctor, since filling this field requires not only knowledge, but also good experience, choose carefully, look at photos of works and find out qualifications and reviews.
Features of the anatomical zone The nasolacrimal groove is located on the face just below the bone line of the lower orbital space. The length of the line varies from 1 to 1.5 cm, the direction of which is framed in the infraorbital region from the outer to the inner edge of the eye. There are two main types of grooves, characterized by the continuation of the line: nasozygomatic (continuation to the cheek-zygomatic zone): palpebromalar (otherwise infraorbital, as a continuation to the outer edge of the eye). The formation of such a furrow on the facial skin is explained by the anatomical structure and the presence of a dense septum (septum). The septum is fixed in the area of the upper edge of the bone and connects to the circular muscular structure of the periorbital zone. This is why there is less displacement of the tissues of the upper third of the face than in the middle part. If in youth the nasolacrimal groove is invisible due to sufficient tissue elasticity and active hydration processes, then in adulthood the septal ligaments lose their elasticity and contribute to sagging and protrusion due to changes in tension during muscle contractions. A pronounced tear trough appears in the form of bluish bags under the eyes, translucency of blood vessels in the eye area, the face takes on an exhausted appearance, facial expressions are similar to the expression of a sick and eternally sad person. The main reasons for the formation of a defect include: ptosis of soft tissues due to age-related changes: changes in bone facial structures (smoothing or thinning of the surface); dystrophic changes in subcutaneous fat tissue; endocrinological diseases; chronic diseases of internal organs and systems; bad habits (drinking alcohol, smoking); excess of normal body weight; violation of the regime of wakefulness and rest. An important factor in the formation of the nasolacrimal groove is heredity. If close relatives have a similar defect, then their children have a high probability of having a similar cosmetic problem with age. It is worth considering that if there are provoking factors, they must be eliminated first.
I found such a doctor and went for the procedure.
We used Princess Filler and worked with a cannula.
Anesthesia was applied to only two places under the eyes, the so-called “painting bags,” as I later found out (how I fought with them, I’ll tell you in the next review).
It was in these places that a puncture was made and a cannula was inserted.
The procedure is completely painless precisely because the work was carried out with a cannula - this is such a long needle with a rounded end, it gently pushes the tissue apart.
It is important that the doctor understands the structure of the face and the behavior of the filler; in this case, it is better to go through minimization and it is better to slightly underapply the filler than to overdo it and then it will hang over the cheek in the form of a bag. Therefore, the doctor put part of the filler under my eyes, and with the rest she lightly filled the nasolabial folds, or rather their beginning at the nose.
My doctor filled it out for me perfectly and told me that the final result should be expected in 2 weeks.
The result, in principle, is visible immediately (see photo), but over time the filler settles in, the swelling goes away and it becomes perfect.
To be honest, I regretted that I did not start my experiments with filling the nasolacrimal groove. Here is my final result in the last photo.
I took the photo just after waking up, so my face is slightly swollen, I’m sure it will only get better.
