Continuing what I started, I’ll tell you about Talizi - a review of the Hair transplantation center Talizi - a hair transplant clinic - the topic of this article. So, let me remind you: after an unsuccessful drug fight against androgenetic alopecia, the trichologist advised two of the best transplantologists - Goncharov in Moscow and Tsilosani in Tbilisi. Serious work was done to collect information, analyze reviews, and a request was sent to each of the clinics.
Choosing a Hair Transplant Clinic
And if we never received an answer from Moscow (hello to employees working with media!), then the messages sent to the Talizi clinic were answered not by a robot, but by a person, who responded not with unsubscribes, but with a clear text. Fast and friendly. The main questions were asked and answers received.
After filling out the application form on the website, we were contacted very quickly. Zaza Baazov, a specialist in working with foreign clients, answered. And later, when they asked questions, he didn’t delay in answering. He answered quickly and to the point.
Based on the photographs sent, we decided on the method of transplantation, the number of grafts needed for transplantation, and set the date of the operation.
Since 2000 grafts were planned for transplantation, they were not included in the “medical tour” (this is when the clinic provides transfer, accommodation and entertainment in their free time). But with modern technology this is not a problem at all. We booked accommodation, very wisely choosing the Red Cat apartments within walking distance from the clinic. We agreed with the owner to meet/see off at the airport (there was a late check-in and early check-out). The launch of direct flights to Tbilisi and the absence of the need to obtain a visa were additional advantages. Let's hit the road!
Strike in Tbilisi - social workers demand higher wages
In Tbilisi, a protest rally of several dozen social workers took place near the building of the Georgian Ministry of Health, demanding higher wages.
The protesters took to the street with posters “We demand a decent salary”, “We demand a meeting with the prime minister”, “Adequate remuneration for the work done”, “We will not put up with the 2007 salary in 2022”.
According to the protesters, they face many problems in carrying out their duties. In particular, social workers note that they have to travel to their clients at their own expense, and in a pandemic they are also risking their health and lives.
“The main mechanism of struggle is a strike. Unfortunately, the workers were left with no other choice. Therefore, today up to 400 people have refused to fulfill their duties until their demands are met... Their wages are not enough to survive. In a number of cases, their salary is less than the assistance that socially vulnerable people receive,” the Pirveli TV channel reports the words of one of the participants in the action.
The protesters demanded a meeting with the head of the Ministry of Health Zurab Azarashvili and Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili to personally discuss the issues that concern them. Social workers do not rule out the possibility of holding larger events in the future.
Let us note that the other day, when social workers announced their strike, the Ministry of Health announced that from February 2022 they would increase the salaries of social workers.
“Based on the results of active consultations at the Social Services Agency in recent months, a decision was made to increase the fixed salary of a social agent to 60%,” the statement says.
The protesters themselves are dissatisfied with this prospect of salary growth, call the increase meager and do not agree to work in such conditions.
According to the Ministry of Health, the salary of a social agent consists of two components - a fixed salary and output. The standard salary for social workers will increase to 400 lari ($130) instead of the current 250 lari (approx. $80), and for a senior social agent - to 700 lari ($228) instead of the current 550 (approx. $180). In addition, it is noted that for a completed declaration during visits, social agents will receive ten lari ($3.3) instead of six ($2). It was also announced that the salaries of about 1,000 low- and mid-level employees of the Social Service Agency would be increased from 40 to 60%.
From January 1, 2022, salaries for civil servants, doctors, kindergarten workers and some categories of teachers were increased in Georgia. Officials' salaries increased by 10%. The average nominal salary in the public sector has so far been just over 1 thousand lari ($330). At the same time, it is formed from two components - the main rate and a coefficient depending on the class of the official and the position he occupies.
Talizi Clinic outside and inside
Thanks to pre-downloaded Google maps, the clinic was found quickly. Talizi is located on the first floor of a residential building. I thought this was wonderful. It’s usually the same here - they try to rent a more difficult office, but in the center. To throw dust in the eyes. As usual, “they are greeted by their clothes.” And you have to increase the cost of services with rental expenses. It's all about reputation here. If people know you as a professional, then word of mouth will take you anywhere.
Everything inside is more than pleasant.
Comfortable waiting area.
Solid doctor's office.
As usual, with a bunch of diplomas and certificates on the walls.
Despite the fact that absolutely all issues were resolved in advance through correspondence, a conversation took place between the operating doctor and the patient. I guess those are the rules. However, I will sum up the results of “like it or not” at the end of the review.
Workflow at Talizi Clinic
After a conversation about determining the important points of the operation, we signed an agreement on the provision of services.
Next, the operating doctor Vazha Vadachkoria, based on the results of the conversation, marked the recipient areas. In our case, the crown of the head became noticeably bald and the bald patches deepened. These areas were highlighted with a marker.
He also determined that we would transplant not 2000, as was initially decided based on the photographs sent, but 2200 grafts. We ourselves were inclined to this decision - 2000 grafts is the minimum volume for transplantation. I wanted more and better.
Then they took blood for infections - HIV, syphilis, hepatitis.
Then we resolved the financial issues by paying for the operation according to the agreement. The operation cost 198 thousand rubles (2200 grafts for $1.5).
After completing the formalities, we began preparing for the operation and the hair transplant operation itself, you can read the review.
The operation lasted approximately three hours, then recommendations were given.
This is what the bald spot on the crown of the head, planted with new hair, looked like.
So - planted bald patches.
The donor area with the cut out flap of skin was completely invisible from the outside.
Talizi - review of the clinic. Expectations and results
First, I will list what I liked and what I didn’t like when visiting the clinic and receiving services there.
Did not like:
Part of what we “didn’t like” was our own fault - we didn’t clearly formulate the questions. Accordingly, sometimes the answers received subsequently turned out to be unexpected.
- For some reason, they were sure that Akaki Tsilosani would operate - they went to see him. In fact, it turned out that he was at a conference in Ukraine. And in general, the leading doctor, the same Vazha Vadachkoria, did not operate himself. The team was working, he just looked and exercised control. Maybe this speaks of the “tested” nature of the operation, confidence in its technology and professionalism?..
- Conversation between the operating doctor and the patient. There was an unpleasant feeling that the customer service manager did not convey the information - there was not a single mention of preliminary agreements. Although absolutely all questions and answers were in preliminary correspondence, the conversation proceeded from scratch.
- It is not clear why on the day of the operation, 20-30 minutes before the start, take a test for infections - it will not affect the process in any way, because the result will become clear later.
- The most important thing is that despite the huge number of reviews about operations in Talizi, we were not asked ANY question after the operation - not even like how you feel, is everything normal, not to mention the request to send photos six months / a year later with regrown hair and overgrown areas of baldness. This fact caused enormous bewilderment, especially since I warned that there would definitely be a review online.
Iva Kuzanov: European noses are fashionable in Georgia
- How much does it cost?
— It is done in two stages. The first stage is the removal of the mammary glands, uterus and ovaries. This operation costs about 6-7 thousand lari. And the second stage is the creation of the penis. It costs from 15 to 20 thousand lari.
— Such operations are not financed by the state in any way?
- No. Absolutely. Nobody sponsors these operations. It is only recently that in America insurance companies have begun to pay for such operations.
But high prices do not stop those who want to improve their appearance with surgeon Kuzanov. Moreover, if desired, he can not only restore girls’ virginity, but also enlarge the male penis (especially in cases of anomalies). In a word, Iva Kuzanov is a jack of all trades.
— Batono Iva, what qualities should a good surgeon have?
— A good surgeon must be honest, first of all, hardworking and professional. Hands should grow from where they need to! And, most importantly, when choosing a face shape or when doing a facelift, have the right vision! You've probably seen how sometimes after a facelift the mouth reaches the ears, the eyes are somewhere on the forehead! A real surgeon shouldn’t have this, he should have a sense of the right vision. For example, I am a vascular microsurgeon by training. And the microsurgeon is the god of surgery. He can do absolutely everything! So, when we performed replantation of a finger, corrected a crooked hand or face, when we did all this, we realized that we could do it beautifully. And after that the idea was born - to become an aesthetic surgeon.
—What do you think is the true beauty of a woman?
— Beauty is inside a woman. Here's how to explain it to you... Well, is a foreign artist like Barbara Streisand a beautiful woman?
- For me, yes.
- For me as well. Because she radiates beauty.
- And Sophia Loren?
- This is also a beautiful woman. But this is a characteristic, completely different beauty. And so by standards, as they say, the doll is Marilyn Monroe. Here she is just a beautiful woman - everything is in its place. But I don’t particularly like those, I like characterful women.
— In your practice, you meet many women of different nationalities. Which ones do you think are the most beautiful?
- I believe that these are Slavs, of course.
- What about the beauty of Georgians?
- You see, if a beautiful Georgian is a beautiful Georgian! Maybe even with a nose with a small hump, almond-shaped eyes - but she is very beautiful. But, unfortunately, what’s the matter: in Georgia the blood was mixed all the time - Turkey, Iran, etc. Only now, recently, Georgian genes have just begun to appear in us. Beautiful tall girls with long legs appeared - this had never happened in Georgia before!
