It is carried out in several stages:
- Consultation. It is clarified whether there are any contraindications. The cosmetologist selects the appropriate filler and shape. Tells how your appearance will change after the service is provided.
- Application of local anesthesia.
- Injection.
- If necessary, knead the filler for uniform distribution. Applying ointment (Bepanten, Traumeel, Solcoseryl).

Care
After the procedure you must:
- use ointments recommended by a specialist;

Lip augmentation. My experience
I want to share with you my experience of lip augmentation.
I am in no way agitating anyone, but I dare to hope that my post will help someone decide whether to undergo this procedure or, on the contrary, it will scare you and you will decide never to do this in your life. This question is quite relevant because, it seems to me, many people secretly (sometimes even from themselves) would like to have bigger lips, otherwise products for visual and temporary lip enlargement would not be so popular)) Ps Photos “before” and “after” - at the end of the post. I will only talk from the perspective of an ordinary client of a cosmetologist’s office, because I don’t want to go into theoretical details, such as the components of the drugs, their varieties and the history of their occurrence.
I had my lips enlarged for the first time when I was 19 years old and have been pinching them as they get smaller, approximately every 1.5 years. I should immediately note that there are both dense and lighter preparations that dissolve faster, but give a more natural effect upon tactile testing. First, I’ll tell you about how this happens, and then about the drugs that I tried.
I would like to note that before choosing a cosmetologist, it is very important to get good recommendations and be sure to look at photos of the work (and make sure that the chosen cosmetologist does not have the habit of doing “duck” lips, and it is also advisable to see a couple of cases in which the “before” photo shows the shape of the lips is similar to yours, and “after" is similar to the result you want. Also, a good specialist should make sure that you are not pregnant, have no allergies to the components of the drug, inflammation in the lips, and do not have the flu, etc.). And, of course, you should discuss your desired lip shape.
So, immediately before the procedure, the lips are wiped with chlorhexidine and an anesthetic ointment (usually Emla) is applied, which takes about 20 minutes to take effect. In some cases, you can do without it - when you are not very sensitive to pain, and the drug already contains lidocaine. After the ointment has taken effect, the most interesting part begins - the administration of the drug.
There are many different techniques - “fan”, “Angelina Jolie technique”, etc., which are used depending on the desired effect. Some techniques “turn out” the lips, some increase them “along the plane”, some increase their volume (here I mean those same “duck” lips.” I warn you right away - a lot of injections will be required, even with the most minimal and problem-free lip augmentation - There should definitely be about 10 needle insertions.The most sensitive area is the middle of the lips, especially the upper one.
It is also important that the more you are afraid of pain, the longer you will have to keep the anesthetic and the more your blood vessels will dilate. Accordingly, it will be easier to hit them with a needle. In principle, there is nothing wrong with this; a bruise may just form, which will go away in 1-5 days. The entire procedure will take about 1-1.5 hours.
Immediately after the procedure, your lips swell very much, so don’t be afraid that you’ve been “given” huge lips. Hyaluronic acid most actively attracts water in the first hours after the procedure, so if you want strong lip enlargement, it is recommended to drink a lot of liquid after the procedure, but you can limit yourself to the usual amount for you. However, it will be a little difficult to drink in the usual way - from a glass/mug; for example, for the first day I drink from a straw. The important thing is that it is forbidden to consume hot food! After the procedure, your lips will most likely be tight, but after a week or two they will become softer and a little more natural to the touch.
And I would also like to note that the drugs can be “layered” on top of each other, and then the effect will last longer. (By layering, I mean adding a new portion of the drug - no matter the same or another - without waiting for the previous portion to be completely absorbed. Not all cosmetologists warn about this possibility, because they do not want to bother with repeated sessions, but I recommend agreeing to leave part of the drug for correction, for which you will come back in 2-3 weeks, when the drug has settled down and the final result will be visible, without swelling. A conscientious specialist will suggest this to you himself, because it will be important for him that you are satisfied and come to him again .
However, unfortunately, there are nuances for which no master is responsible. We are all different, and the drug affects everyone differently. For example, during the procedure part of my preparation “went” into the center of the upper lip, although I wanted to add volume to the sides, while for a friend, on the contrary, it “went” into the edges of the upper lip, while the center remained almost empty. The master must take into account such features and respond to them as quickly as possible, for example, changing the administration technique or the drug (of course, in the next procedure).
Now I’ll tell you about the drugs that I tried on myself. 1) Juvederm Ultra 3 - one of the most famous drugs, contains lidocaine, medium in density. Volume - 0.8 ml. Lasted about 10 months. After the procedure, the master distributed it (and the next 3 drugs) in the lips using his fingers to prevent the appearance of lumps. Knead the drug for 5-15 minutes. 2) Juvederm smile - also contains lidocaine, the volume of the drug is 0.5 ml. It is most often used to obtain the most natural result. I injected it “over” Juvederm 3 and it lasted very little. Only 4-5 months. I can only recommend it to those who just want to try lip augmentation. 3) Juvederm Volift. Contains lidocaine. Volume The manufacturer promises that the drug will last up to 18 months, but in reality it is a year, maybe a little more. 4) Surjiderm 24XP. Denser than previous preparations, the volume remained the longest - more than a year. But it was the most painful to inject, because, as far as I remember, it does not contain lidocaine. And I didn’t want to get bruises, so I asked not to keep the pain-relieving ointment on me for a long time)). 5) And the last, but the best one I have tried is Neauvua Organic Intense LV. It does not contain lidocaine, so it was VERY painful to inject it, but the effect should last longer, since it is denser and more concentrated and is immediately “placed” in the necessary points and does not require kneading or distributing the drug.
And, in the end, what many were probably waiting for) My “before” and “after” photos. I'm not one of those girls whose lips suddenly grow and they confidently prove their naturalness; I always answered provocative questions honestly, so I feel free to provide my photos. I didn’t take a selfie on purpose, because when photographing with the front camera, we all choose a better angle, photograph a little from below, protrude our lips (even if only slightly), and in general, it seems to me, facial features appear a little larger in a selfie.
Prices for lip augmentation range from approximately 10,000 rubles to 20,000 rubles. depending on the drug, its volume, as well as the salon, the specialist.
An important point for those who are afraid of getting a bad result. Everything can be fixed!)) In order to remove the resulting volume, hyaluronidase is injected (also using a syringe) and the drug is completely or partially, depending on the injected volume, absorbed! And girls with a fast metabolism may not need it at all - the drug will already dissolve faster. Although, for some this may be a minus - you will have to pin your lips more often).
I believe that if you have the desire and opportunity, you can try to enlarge your lips, because this is a reversible (and, over time, self-reversible) procedure that does not harm your health (let me remind you that hyaluronic acid is already contained in our body).
