The effect and benefits of facial massage, indications and contraindications for the procedure, types and features of various techniques.
The human face is a complex system that consists of various muscles and many vessels. With age, muscle tone naturally deteriorates and blood flow to the face slows down. As a result, the skin of the face loses its elasticity, swelling, hated “jowls” and senile sagging appear. Over time, it is practically impossible to do without professional help - the face needs a cosmetic massage. Our experienced specialists will carry out a set of facial massage procedures: they will work on the cervical vertebrae, lymph nodes to improve outflow, and activate blood circulation.
Effects of facial massage at the Doctor of Beauty clinic
1. Natural peeling.
On the skin of the face, keratinized skin particles, that is, dead scales, constantly collect, which form an entire unwanted, and even harmful, layer of the epidermis. To remove this problem, massaging your face with a professional scrub will help you. After several sessions, the skin will become smooth and radiant. Please note that aggressive chemical peels and microdermabrasion are not suitable for allergy sufferers and hypersensitive skin.
2. Establishing blood circulation.
To strengthen blood vessels and improve blood flow to the face, our cosmetologists will begin the massage process by vigorously kneading the skin. As a result of such progressive and active actions, the blood will flow to your face with renewed vigor and you will have a beautiful and healthy glow. The turgor will improve and small “sagging” will disappear.
3. Relaxing effect.
In our cosmetology clinic, the massage procedure is performed under relaxing quiet music, which will allow you to distance yourself from all problems as much as possible and finally relax. And the smell of various aromatic oils will relieve tension and calm you down. Even the shortest massage session will give you the opportunity to forget about all urgent matters.
4. Detox.
Nothing reacts to an aggressive environment like your face. Imagine what your skin is exposed to: makeup residue, endless exhaust fumes, smoking, etc. In addition, low-quality products are also a negative factor for the epidermis. The massage will naturally start the process of removing toxins - your skin will begin to breathe again, that is, function normally.
5. Facial rejuvenation.
During the process of professional facial massage, the natural production of collagen increases - the mesh of microwrinkles will begin to smooth out, and the skin will again become elastic and firm. As a result of the procedures, you will get healthier skin, and your colleagues will begin to notice that you look younger!
What is it made with?
In order to achieve the best effect, it is necessary to use massage aids. Classic Asahi is made using a special oriental cream, which we do not sell. It can only be ordered in the Land of the Rising Sun.
But domestic cosmetologists claim that a mask made from oatmeal, prepared at home, can be a completely worthy replacement. Also, the most common makeup remover milk or soft foam for washing is suitable for this purpose. You can choose any non-aggressive skin care product in your cosmetic bag, the main thing is that it does not clog pores and increase the slip of your fingers.
Contraindications
1. Viral and infectious diseases.
If you have a fever, it is better for you to avoid facial massage, because under the influence of active movements of the hands and fingers, blood circulation accelerates, which can only “disperse” the spread of the virus throughout the body. The disease may drag on and complications may arise.
2. Skin inflammation and dermatitis.
Massaging infected areas of skin may increase their spread, making your sore condition worse. In addition, the number of lesions can increase several times, and the components of the oils can provoke their complications.
3. Skin atrophy.
Thin skin can cause mechanical damage during massage, including the formation of rosacea and bruising. If you have open skin wounds or burns, you should also avoid this procedure.
A few important points
Japanese Asahi facial massage (reviews confirm this) is a technique that does not cause pain, but it requires the correct distribution of force during implementation. Massage should be done with delicacy and caution. You need to be especially careful in the area of the lymph nodes.
In other areas, work is carried out with maximum confidence and intensity. Cosmetologists claim that the main feature of this massage is that it affects both superficial and deep muscles. The lymphatic drainage that occurs during this process significantly improves your appearance.
Before starting a Japanese facial massage, reviews from cosmetologists recommend thoroughly cleansing the skin. This is a very important and mandatory point, since in this way you will free the ducts through which the lymph will move.
Smoothing the forehead
Japanese facial massage is considered by cosmetologists to be an excellent remedy for getting rid of wrinkles on the forehead. Thanks to smooth movements from its central part to the temples, the skin smoothes out and becomes more elastic.
The influx of lymph helps to activate regeneration processes and rejuvenate this part of the face, where facial wrinkles first become noticeable.
Even in young years, due to constant facial activity, this area begins to lose its tightness, and every day small folds on it become more and more noticeable. But, according to cosmetologists, Asahi massage can cope with this problem and remove the burden of years from your forehead.
About the massager
So, ReFa are Japanese massagers for the face and body. At the moment, there are several versions of massagers (the Ray version essentially differs in the ribbed surface of the massager handle):
- ReFa S Carat is a mini version of the massager, best suited for working on the area around the eyes and around (can also be used on the jaw line, cheeks and forehead);
- ReFa Carat Ray Face - a classic version of a facial massager (you can work on the décolleté area, neck area, chin area, forehead, cheeks; less convenient for the area around the lips and around the eyes);
- ReFa Carat is a more versatile massager that is suitable for facial massage (you can work on the décolleté area, neck area, chin area, forehead, cheeks, less convenient for the area around the lips and around the eyes), as well as for body massage (arms, waist, stomach , hips);
- ReFa O Style is a massager with one rotating ball. Suitable for use in the area around the eyes, on the jawline, forehead line, chin area (a kind of analogue of massagers like Nurse Jamie UpLift Facial Massaging Beauty Roller);
- ReFa 4 Carat – massager with 4 rotating rollers. Suitable for facial massage (you can work on the décolleté area, neck area, chin area, forehead, cheeks; less convenient for the area around the lips and around the eyes), as well as body massage (arms, waist, abdomen, hips);
- ReFa For Body – massager for the body (arms, shoulders, waist, stomach, thighs);
- ReFa Caxa is a combined Refa device with a gua sha-type massage surface (can be used on the cheeks, chin, neck, décolleté, forehead line).
In my personal opinion, the classic versions of Refa Carat and Refa Carat Face deserve the most attention.
Refa massagers work on the principle of faceted rotating balls, which during the massage capture and knead the skin, working through all its layers and repeating the manual massage technique. The massager relieves muscle tension, fights swelling, has a lymphatic drainage effect, improves blood microcirculation, tones the skin, and helps to work out the contours of the face. Most Refa massagers (as I understand it, only ReFa S Carat and ReFa O Style are waterproof) have a waterproof design that allows you to use the devices in the bathroom (however, it is recommended not to keep the device in water for more than 30 minutes). Also, the surface of the rollers is coated with platinum, which minimizes the possibility of irritation and also extends the life of the device (for example, my device is more than two years old and it still looks like new, and there is not a single scratch on it, it works like new). Refa devices have a solar panel installed, which in theory generates microcurrents (I write “in theory”, since microcurrents, in my opinion, in ReFa devices are very, very conditional; if you want to buy a full-fledged microcurrent device, this is definitely not for Refa).
Who and when should not use Refa (information from the official website):
- People prone to allergies to metals;
- People diagnosed with CSD (Cutaneous sensory disorder), during which itching, burning, tingling or pain (allodynia), numbness, hypoesthesia occur;
- People with inflamed skin;
- People with bleeding disorders (eg hemophilia);
- During pregnancy, as well as immediately after childbirth (as the skin becomes more sensitive during these periods);
- People with very thin skin who bruise easily;
- After drinking alcohol;
- The manufacturer also recommends consulting with a doctor before using the device if you have atopic dermatitis, sensitive or reactive skin (permanently or temporarily, for example, during menstruation), as well as while taking any medications.
I would also like to note (although this is not on the list) that if you have thyroid diseases (as well as any inflammatory processes), I would not recommend using ReFa massagers (as well as other massagers) on the neck and lymph nodes . I have a problem thyroid gland, and in principle I do not do any massages (with my hands or using devices) on the neck area.
Also regarding the use of a massager in the presence of various types of injection (essentially relevant for any device, including home microcurrent ones). Massage speeds up the absorption of injections (due to the fact that blood supply and lymph are accelerated), so it is better to discuss this point with your doctor.
Effective but dangerous lymphatic drainage
During the procedure, pay special attention to how your lymph nodes are located. They need to be massaged very carefully, carefully calculating the forces and only lightly pressing on the lines along which the lymph flow moves. Attention! Do not try to put pressure on the lymph nodes! This is the most important rule of this technique.
If you damage them, treatment will take a lot of time and effort. Therefore, if you are not confident in your self-massage skills, it is better to contact a professional.
Cosmetologists advise completing each exercise, except one, with the same technique. In it, the hands move to the parotid lymph nodes, which are located between the temple and the ear tragus. Having reached this point, hold your fingers on it for one or two seconds. Then continue light movements along the edges of the face. Work with the cervical lymph nodes, located two centimeters below the jaw. Then work your way down the sides of your neck. The movement ends in the area of the jugular trunk, located between the collarbones.
ReFa and NuFace
I will also make a separate point comparing ReFa and Nuface (since I receive quite a lot of questions on this topic). In my opinion, comparing these devices is not entirely appropriate, since they still have different principles of influence. NuFace has microcurrents, ReFa has mechanical massage. Once again, ReFa’s microcurrents are very conditional (although at the time of purchase, they showed me how touch screens react to them), however, during use they are absolutely not felt. That is, again, I repeat, if you want a microcurrent device, this is not for ReFa, I would regard Refa exclusively as a facial massager.
Modeling the face shape
Japanese Asahi facial massage (reviews and benefits can be found from any beauty expert) is a great way to correct the shape of the cheeks. If by nature you have plump, rounded cheekbones, and you dream of model cheekbones, this procedure will help you achieve what you want.
It is also used to lift the upper jaw, remove excess fat from the face, and correct the shape of the lips. Cosmetologists claim that the drainage that underlies the technique really works and gives visible results after the first sessions.
Japanese Asahi facial massage, whose techniques are based on normalizing lymph flow, activating muscles and restructuring the bones of the skull, can also lift the lower jaw.
Simple movements of your fingers over your skin can “re-draw” your facial features, but this time they will be more perfect, clear and sculpted than before. Cosmetologists talk about the benefits of massage not only for beauty, but also for health. After all, it accelerates regeneration processes, improves metabolism, so that problematic skin stops peeling and becoming covered with acne.
Eastern medicine - an alternative to plastic surgery
Japanese Asahi facial massage (exercises can be easily performed independently) is a universal method for correcting the shape of the face and combating signs of aging. Beauty experts say that it is perfect for people who want to look young and healthy, but are not ready to go under the knife of a plastic surgeon for this.
The only additional means needed to carry it out are milk or cream. And the whole effect depends primarily on the skill and caution of the master. Coming from traditional oriental medicine, massage is becoming increasingly popular among girls and women all over the world.
This technique was first introduced by cosmetologist Hiroshi Hesashi, who learned about it from her grandmother. And over time, a book about facial massage, written by stylist Yukuko Tanaka, became one of the most successful Japanese bestsellers and overtook even JK Rowling's Harry Potter novels in popularity in its country.
Such popular love is the strongest evidence that this technique really works. Reviews from cosmetologists also confirm this. Massage effectively smoothes the skin on the forehead, tightens the cheeks, makes cheekbones more expressive, helps get rid of a double chin, lifts the corners of the lips, corrects the shape of the mouth and simply makes every millimeter of the face perfect.
How are Japanese beauty devices different?
Japanese gadgets, firstly, often combine several functions and impact scenarios, and secondly, rely on the most modern methods and research. Current trends include mesotherapy, electroporation, microcurrents, LED therapy and high-frequency radio waves.
Efficiency increases if you use special essences with the device - they are often included.
We invite you to take a closer look at five completely different, but incredibly effective Japanese beauty devices.
Mesotherapy and electroporation Clione Fit
Hardware cosmetology is offered in many beauty salons, but with the Clione Fit gadget you no longer need to catch free windows. This soft pink stick only looks cute on the outside, but underneath the body there is a professional filling.
In general, Clione Fit is one of the most striking new products among cosmetology devices. Using different modes, you can remove the effect of a tired face, cope with sagging skin, correct nasolabial lines, wrinkles around the mouth, eyes and forehead, reduce pigmentation and signs of post-acne.
The gadget combines five advanced technologies at once.
Ultrapulse - Clione Fit can operate in pulsation mode with three intensity modes. Ultrapulse significantly enhances the effectiveness of RF and EMS procedures.
RF, or radiofrequency lifting, is like a surgeon without a scalpel. Skin tightening occurs non-surgically using radio waves. The lifting effect can be observed instantly.
EMS currents, or electrical stimulation, return elasticity to the facial muscles with a bang, contracting them using alternating current. Lymph flow increases, regeneration processes are launched.
Electroporation is a method that can be used to deliver active substances to the deep layers of the skin. For example, hyaluronic acid and collagen, so that they act exactly where all the processes responsible for the beauty of the skin occur.
LED light therapy uses LED lamps. The method is most effective for regulating the functioning of the sebaceous glands, reducing signs of aging, treating acne and evening out skin color. Under the influence of light, the production of natural collagen and elastin increases, which means there will be fewer wrinkles.
Making your eyes bigger
Puffy eyes are a common problem for many girls. Due to improper distribution of fluid, the cheeks increase in volume and their shape is deformed. This is especially obvious in the mornings. But throughout the day, instead of a shining, cheerful face, we often see in the mirror a picture opposite to what we want.
Asahi facial massage and eye exercises, according to cosmetologists, help remove excess moisture deposits from under the skin around them, tighten the contour, and make it more expressive. But most importantly, this technique helps to really increase the size of the eyes, adding liveliness and vigor to them.
Exercises are performed separately for the upper and lower eyelids. Thanks to this, you can maximize every millimeter of skin around the visual organs and ensure that your eyes really shine. Smoothing the skin from the outer corner to the inner and back tightens it, restores elasticity and helps give the desired shape.
When is Zogan massage recommended for facial rejuvenation?
The sooner you start taking care of your facial skin, the longer it will retain its beauty and attractiveness. For twenty-year-olds, the procedure will help maintain natural beauty, and for older people, it will help them regain youth.
For preventive purposes, Asahi massage is necessary for:
- protection against wrinkles;
- maintaining skin tone;
- protection against double chin formation;
- preventing the appearance of edema;
- getting rid of excess subcutaneous fat.
Every woman wants her youth to last as long as possible. An assistant in this is Zogan massage. It does not require much time, all you need is the desire to have a fit, attractive face.
Massage technique
The essence of the actions performed is that the middle, index and ring fingers work, and not only the pads, but also the phalanges. Movements are made smoothly and leisurely. A Japanese massage session consists of the following stages:
One of the stages of the massage is smoothing the forehead area.
- Fingers for 3 sec. pressed against the surface of the skin in the center of the forehead, and then moved to the temples. The palms turn 90 degrees and go to the collarbones. Next, the final element is executed.
- Exercise against swelling of the eyes. First, use the pads of your middle fingers to lightly move from the outer corners of the eyes to the inner ones, touching the bridge of the nose. In this place, called the beauty point by cosmetologists, you should hold your fingers for 2 seconds, then increase the pressure. Next, the fingers, completing a circular movement, move under the eyebrows, stopping at the outer corners of the closed eyes, for 2-3 seconds. affect the skin. The exercise is repeated, followed by the final part.
- Massage the corners of the lips. It is carried out with two fingers - the middle and ring fingers. them for 2 sec. press on the center of the chin, after which the fingers move along the lips, intensely pressing the skin. The manipulation should end above the top of the lip. You should linger a little here.
- Massage of the nose and nasolabial folds. The middle fingers of both hands find the depressions near the wings of the nose, then move up and down several times. At the same time, the ring finger rubs the bridge of the nose. The action is performed towards the cheeks. The final combination is executed.
- Work on the cheeks, cheekbones, upper jaw and corners of the mouth. The middle fingers are intensely pressed to the middle of the chin. Without releasing the pressure, the fingers move towards the eyes. They stop near them for 2-3 seconds. The palms are turned over, the fingers go to the temporal region. The final part is being carried out.
- Exercise for the cheeks and lower part of the face. First, the right half is massaged, then the left. One palm rests on the lower jaw, and the second goes from the corner of the lower jaw to the outer corner of the eye and lingers here for 2-3 seconds. After this, the palm moves from the eye to the tragus. The final component is being implemented. The exercise should be performed 3-5 times on both sides of the face.
- Strengthening the middle of the face and cheeks. The exercise is performed with both hands at the same time. The fingers press on the wings of the nose and forcefully move to the temporal region, ending with the final element.
- Cheek modeling. The elbows and palms of both hands are pressed against each other. Then the palms move apart and turn upward, and from the base they are pressed forcefully onto the lips and go upward with the same intense pressure. Hands are placed on the cheeks, completely covering them, linger there for 2-3 seconds, then go to the temples. Next comes the final part.
- Work on the contour of the lips and the middle of the cheeks. The lower parts of both palms rest against the middle of the chin and forcefully move towards the tragus. The final component is being performed.
- Hands act alternately. First, the lower part of the left palm rests forcefully on the chin. Then she presses towards the tragus. The final step is being completed. The right palm works according to the same plan in the opposite direction.
- Working with nasolabial folds. The thumbs rest on the chin, the other free fingers surround the nose. Both palms move wide synchronously, stretching the face. The hands are held in this position for 2-3 seconds, moving into the final element.
- Forehead modeling. The left and right hands are used alternately. The fingers move along the surface of the forehead in a zigzag direction from left to right, and then vice versa. The final part is being completed.
Chin correction is another component of the massage.
